Dr. N. J. Paulbudhe College of Pharmacy was established in 2017 by Seva Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, a well-known, non-profit, and respected social service organization in Ahmednagar. The name of the Organization itself reveals that the organization is committed to delivering the “Service (Seva)” and imparting the “Training (Shikshan)” with a mission to transform the demographic burden of our nation into a demographic dividend.

Late Shri. Dr. Jayawanth Nath Paulbudhe, Ex.MLC, Maharashtra, an Ayurvedic Physician by education and profession, formed this organization in 1988 to serve the neglected and ignored migrant workers. He has devoted and dedicated his life to advocating for the legitimate rights of beedi and mining workers, residing at Ahmednagar. As a part of this struggle, he did not confine himself only to struggle for them; instead, he went on to find a humane solution to their problems by providing basic education, health care, and shelter through this organization. Further, he generated funds to finance their development.

Inspired by his social legacy, human values, and ethics, the organization felt the need to stop the migration of Ahmednagar students for pharmacy education to other cities like Pune, Nasik, Aurangabad, and Mumbai. This decision has enabled many students, particularly female students who are reluctant to relocate to remote regions for further education.

Our college offers four years of B. Pharm. degree Program approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (P.C.I.), New Delhi, All India Council of Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.), State Government of Maharashtra, and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. The college is located at the prime location of the city, and well connected to public transport. The Governing Body of the college consists of eminent members from diverse disciplines such as Industry, Research, Academics, Social Service, and Entrepreneurship to provide their valuable inputs for the augmentation of quality education. The institute is ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 certified and abides by the finest quality practices.

 Our college was built in two acres area with adequate infrastructure and other facilities as per the statutory requirements. We have an approved intake of 100 students with two divisions. The college has adopted outcome-based education to deliver quality education for students. This practice transformed the teaching methodology of faculty towards student-centric learning and enhanced the learning outcomes of the students. The best practices in our college include offering value-added and certificate courses such as MS Office, Corel Draw & Adobe Photoshop, Advanced Excel, C++ Language, and Python for enhancing the skills, knowledge, and attitudes of the learners. These courses are offered to prepare pharma graduates ready to grab opportunities in the emerging field such as the Pharma-IT sector. Besides this, we also provide internship opportunities for our students to acquire knowledge in pharmacy store management, hospital pharmacy administration, and the manufacture of medicines in pharmaceutical industries. The functional MOUs made by our institutes are helping our students to get practical exposure which is one of the important attributes of a successful pharmacy graduate. In addition to it, we also focus on GPAT Coaching and Career Counseling for students. Every year 10-15 students qualify for GPAT from our institute and pursue higher education in prestigious institutes like NIPERs. Some of our students also got selected in the campus recruitment drive by Ingenous Healthcare and other Clinical Data Management companies.

To promote holistic development and to explore the hidden talents of our students, we conduct an annual sports & culture festival called “Pharma Rhythm” as a part of extracurricular activities. The college also organizes guest lectures on various themes like IPR, Innovation, Research Methodology, Career Opportunities, and Social & Health awareness programs.

These are some of our efforts to ignite and illuminate the lives of students. Above all, our ultimate aim is to transform education enriched with ethics into employment or entrepreneurship which can lead to the empowerment of our nation.
